Zeeland East Wrestling traveled to Allendale High School on Saturday to compete in the Falcon Invitational, with both Varsity and JV teams showcasing their skills. The Varsity team finished 7th out of 16 teams in a highly competitive field, with five wrestlers earning podium finishes.
JJ Ledford (120) led the Varsity squad with an outstanding performance, claiming 1st place in his weight class. Tanner Hofman (106) and Zach Westrate (126) both secured 4th place finishes, while Anders Tibbs (144) and Maximus Gomez (215) battled hard to take 5th place. Gavin Drenten (150) had a strong showing as well, finishing 2nd in his bracket.
The Chix continue to demonstrate grit and improvement as they progress through the halfway point in the season. The Chix travel to Wayland to face Hamilton and Wayland Wednesday Jan 8.
