The chix won the first game of the season against Muskegon Reeths Puffer 4-1. Pitching, defense and one big inning on offense did it for Zeeland East. Isaiah Buitenhuis and Trenton Lynema combined to only give up four hits. Striking out six and walking two. Buitenhuis got the win and Lynema got the save. Caleb Schrotenboer lead the offense with two hits.
The chix came back back to win game two of the double header 13-1. Sam Cochran pitched well for the chix. Cochran got the win giving up two hits and striking out two. The offense was led by Caleb Schrotenboer and Keenan Faber with two hits and two runs scored each. Cole Machiela had two hits as well for the chix. Great start to the season.
