The Chix JV baseball team traveled to GR Union for a double-header. In the first game the bats were hot, multiple players for the Chix had multiple hits. The offense was led by Gavin Drooger and Quincy Thome who each had 3 hits. JJ Salas and Luke Nagelkirk each added 2 hits of their own as well, one being a triple for Nagelkirk. On the mound Quincy Thome shut them down for the first 3 innings allowing no runs and striking out 5. JJ Salas closed the game allowing 1 hit and no runs. The Chix won 19-0.
In game 2, Gavin Drooger had another 3 hit game going 3/3 at the plate. JJ Salas also reached base in all 4 at bats (3HBPs, 1 Walk). Luke Nagelkirk pitched 5 innings striking out 5, and allowing only 1 hit while giving up no runs. Koby Windeler threw the final inning and struck out all 3 batters looking. Chix won game 2 as well, final score 11-0.
