Zeeland East JV basbeall closed the GR Union series with another win today, final score 16-1 in 3 innings. Offensively it was a total team effort with every player on the team reaching base throughout the game. 9 different players recorded a hit. Jailen Nesbit led with 3 hits, Gavin Drooger and Luke Nagelkirk each had 2, and JJ Salas and Ryan Kuzma each hit a triple. On the mound Derek Baxter threw the first 2 innings striking out 5 allowing 1 run. Jailen Nesbit closed the game striking out 2 allowing no runs.

The JV Chix are back at it tomorrow with a double-header at West Ottawa 5/19.
