Game 1: 13-3 (5 innings)

To open up the season the Chix started out tied through the first 3 innings with Grand Rapids Union 3-3. In the fourth, the Chix finally broke away, eventually scoring an additional 10 runs leading to the mercy after 5 innings. Leading the JV Chix offensively was Peyton Davis with 3 hits including a double. Cam Jaworowski, Andrew Natte, and Ryan Kuzma each had 2 hits as well. On the mound, Ryan Kuzma threw the first 3 and a 1/3 innings striking out 5, Anders Tibbs closed the final 1 and 2/3 innings striking 2 out.

Game 2: 17-0 (3 innings)

In game 2, the Chix offense exploded right away scoring 14 runs in the bottom of the 1st, then scoring 3 more in the bottom the 2nd. This led to a mercy after 3 innings. The Chix were led by Derek Baxter and Mason Raade who each had 2 hits both including a double. Ryan Kuzma added a hit and 2 walks. On the mound, Freshman Gavin Weighmink threw all 3 innings striking out 5 batters and allowing no runs
