The Chix hosted the Dux from Zeeland West on Tuesday afternoon. Both teams played with a lot of energy and passion, but the Chix were able to hold on for a 53 to 49 victory. The Chix led by 7 at halftime and increased the lead to double digits in the second half, but the Dux battled back late to make the game close in the end. The Chix were led by David Ortiz, who scored 14 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished out 5 assists. Nathan Claerbaut had his 6th double-double of the season, with 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 blocked shots. Sam Cochran scored 8 points on 4 for 4 shooting and grabbed 4 rebounds. Tanner Wise scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds and Alex Spagnuolo chipped in with 5 points. The win levels the Chix record at 4 and 4, with a 2 and 0 mark in the OK Green. The Chix are back in action on Thursday evening as they travel to Byron Center.
