HAMILTON COMMUNITY SCHOOLS: 46
The Chix traveled to Hamilton on Tuesday night to play the Hawkeyes. Both teams struggled to score in the first half and the Chix were down 20-15 at halftime. Hamilton extended the lead to double digits midway through the third quarter, but the Chix fought back by playing tough defense and tied the score at 41 late in the fourth quarter on a Javon Lozada three-point shot. But Hamilton scored the last 5 points of the game and the Chix lost a tough one, 46-41. Nathan Claerbaut led the Chix with 12 points, 18 rebounds and 6 blocked shots. Javon Lozada added 9 points and 3 rebounds. David Ortiz scored 7 points and Tanner Wise added 5 points. The JV team is back in action Thursday evening as the host Unity Christian at 6:30 pm.
