The Chix took on Zeeland West on Monday night in a hard fought spirited game.  The Chix led for the first 3 quarters and were up 7 points early in the 4th quarter before Zeeland West went on a 13 point run to lead by 6 points with a couple minutes to go.  The Chix fought back and a clutch 3 point shot by David Ortiz with less than 30 seconds to go in the game to even the score at 48.  After a Dux turnover, the Chix had a last-second shot to win it, but the shot fell short and the game went to overtime tied at 48.  The Dux outscored the Chix 8-5 in overtime to secure the win.  Leading the Chix in defeat was Nathan Claerbaut, who scored 13 points and grabbed 20 rebounds and blocked 2 shots.  David Ortiz also scored 13 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 3 assists.  Levi Tilden scored 10 points, Sam Cochran scored 6 points and collected 3 steals and Caleb Schrotenboer scored 5 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.

The Chix are back in action Thursday as they host Byron Center.
