MONA SHORES HIGH SCHOOL: 60
The Chix traveled to Mona Shores and came away with a thrilling 62-60 win against the Sailors. The lead went back and forth throughout the game. The Chix held an 8 point lead midway through the 4th quarter, but Mona Shores came roaring back to take a 1-point lead with less than 30 seconds to play. But Ian Bannach put-back a missed shot with just a few seconds left in the game. The Chix made a late free throw to secure the 2-point win.
Cebe Hunderman scored led the team in scoring with 17 points. Ian Bannach scored 14 points, with 4 steals. Connor Schipper had a double-double with 13 points, 14 boards and 2 key blocked shots late in the game while Levi Tilden chipped in with 10 points and 8 boards.
The JV team is back in action Thursday night as they host Zeeland West. Game time is approximately 6:30 pm, right after the Freshman game.
