The Chix hosted the Hamilton Hawkeyes for a double header on Monday. In game 1, the Chix played a great all-around game, and won 13-4. Isaiah Buitenhuis started and pitched into the 4^th inning, picking up the win. Keenan Faber came into the game in relief and got the last 4 outs. Offensively, the Chix were led by Sam Cochran, who reached base 4 times, scoring 4 runs, with 3 stolen bases and 2 RBI. Luke Gruppen added 2 hits and 2 RBI, Isaiah Buitenhuis had 2 hits, 2 runs scored, and an RBI and Keenan Faber added a hit with 2 RBI. Defensively, the team only committed 1 error and made a number of nice defensive plays.
