The Chix played Holland Christian on Monday in Zeeland on a beautiful day for baseball. In game 1, the Chix won 8-4. Sam Cochran started and pitched a complete game for the Chix, scattering 5 hits and striking out 5. Offensively, the Chix were led by Luke Gruppen, who had 2 hits and 3 RBI. Trenton Lynema and Drew Wyckoff each reached base twice in the game and Isaiah Buitenhuis scored 2 runs. Riley Wilson added a run scoring double to help seal the victory.
