COOPERSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL: 0
The Chix traveled to Coopersville to play a double header against the Broncos. In game 1, the Chix played very well in all facets of the game and won 8 to 0. Keenan Faber pitched a shutout for the Chix, scattering 3 hits, with no walks and 2 strike outs. Leading the team defensively was Sam Cochran, who made a number of very nice plays at short stop to keep the Broncos off the bases. Offensively, the Chix had 8 hits. Isaiah Buitenhuis had 2 hits and 2 RBI. Cole Machiela, Sam Cochran, and Trenton Lynema each added 2 hits and a RBI of their own.
