HOLLAND CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL: 1
The Chix welcomed the Maroons of Holland Christian for a double header on Thursday afternoon. In game 1, Chix won a 2-1 in a close well-pitched game. Isaiah Buitenhuis took to the mound and pitched a strong game, limiting Holland Christian to 1 run on 5 hits, striking out 4 over 4 1/3 innings. Drew Wyckoff relieved Buitenhuis and struck out the last 2 batters to strand 2 Maroons on base and save the game for the Chix.
Offensively, Brandon Claerbaut reached base twice, scored a run and knocked in one too. Isaiah Buitenhuis had a hit and a RBI. Also collecting hits for the Chix were Cole Machiela and Nathan Claerbaut
