The Chix concluded their 2018 season with a double header against Zeeland West. In game 1, the Chix offense scored 6 runs in the first 2 innings and held on for a 6-3 win. Brandon Claerbaut had a double, run scored and 3 RBI on the game. Riley Wilson added a single, run scored and 2 RBI. Cole Machiela reached base twice and scored 2 runs and Isaiah Buitenhuis added 2 hits for the Chix.
This was enough support for Luke Gruppen, who pitched a complete game, allowing no earned runs, while striking out 6.
