HOLLAND CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL: 9
The Chix freshmen baseball team started off the season with a 15-9 victory over Holland Christian. Aidan Fredricks picked up the win for the Chix going 3 innings without allowing a hit and striking out 6. Dylan Kenyon pitched well in relief, and Jake Meyering closed out the game picking up the last 2 outs on the mound.
Offensively the Chix were led by Fredricks who had 3 hits and 4 RBIs. Dylan Kenyon had 2 hits and 3 RBIs and Max Cochran added two hits.11 different Chix players scored runs during the game.
Game two of the doubleheader was shortened due to inclement weather. Gabe Vera picked up the win for the Chix going 4 innings and allowed only 2 hits while shutting out the Maroons.
Aidan Fredericks and Levi Boersma each picked up hits for the Chix. Boersma and Max Cochran each had an RBI and runs were scored by Kenyon, Boersma, Andrew Hansen, and AJ Terhaar.
