On Monday the Chix met their cross parking lot rival at the shared freshman baseball field. Unfortunately, the Chix were defeated in both games of the doubleheader, losing the first game 1-0 and the second game 8-3. 

In game one Gabe Vera went the distance for the Chix allowing only one unearned run on 3 hits. 

Offensively the Chix were led by Aiden Fredricks who racked up a hit and a stolen base, and Jake Meyering who had a base hit. 

In game two the Chix played well outside of one inning where the defense struggled. The Dux capitalized on a few Chix errors and were able to pull away. 

Aidan Fredricks, Gavin Brouwer, and Levi Boersma pitched well for the Chix. Offensively the Chix were led by Gavin Brouwer who had a double, Aidan Fredricks and Gavin Meyering who each singled. Gabe Vera drove in two runs for the Chix with a sac fly and a walk. Vera, Fredricks, and Ledford also stole bases in the game. 

The Chix return to action Wednesday as they travel south to Hamilton.
