On Wednesday the Chix traveled to Hamilton for an OK Green doubleheader. 

In game one the Chix lost 7-3. Conner Schipper took the loss on the mound. Dylan Kenyon pitched a great 3.1 innings in relief giving up 0 earned runs. The Chix hit many balls hard but had some tough luck with a lot of "at 'em" balls and to the Hawkeyes credit they made numerous great plays on defense. 

Offensively the Chix were led by Max Cochran, Gavin Brouwer, Aidan Fredricks (2), and Dylan Kenyon who all had base hits. Gabe Vera and Gavin Brouwer had RBI's for the Chix. Fredricks, Cochran, and Noah Ledford scored runs in game 1. The Chix excelled at finally getting their running game going and successfully laid down multiple bunts. This was a great step in the right direction!

In game two the Chix picked up a much needed win. Jake Meyering took the mound for the Chix and pitched a complete game allowing 5 hits and 4 earned runs while striking out 5. The Chix mounted a furious comeback scoring 5 runs in the top of the fifth as their bats came to life. 

In game two the Chix again were able to use their ability to steal bases and move runners up to get the offense going. Collecting one hit each for the Chix were Max Cochran, Jake Meyering, Aidan Fredricks, Gavin Meyering, and Andrew Hansen. Gabe Vera had two hits including a go ahead triple in fifth inning.
