Zeeland East Freshman Baseball Hosts Tournament

On Saturday the Zeeland East Freshman baseball team hosted a tournament. In the opener the Chix were defeated by Grand Haven who eventually won the tournament. Zeeland East was also defeated by West Ottawa in the consolation game.
Gavin Meyering started game one on the mound and was followed by a slew of Chix pitchers. Pitching especially well in relief was Max Cochran. Collecting hits in this game for the Chix were Aidan Fredricks, Gavin Brouwer, Dylan Kenyon, and Evan Burgess. Cochran, Burgess, and Conner Schipper each drove in a run.
In game 2 Gave Vera got the start for the Chix and pitched two innings before giving way to Aidan Fredricks and Dylan Kenyon
Aidan Fredricks collected two hits for the Chix. Evan Burgess had an RBI while Levi Boersma, and Andrew Hansen each drove in two runs.
