On Friday the Chix freshman baseball team traveled to Holland Christian to take on the Maroons in a doubleheader. 

Game 1 ended in 1-1 tie in extra innings. Aidan Fredericks went 5 innings for the Chix striking out 8 batters. The only hit he allowed was a controversial bunt single with the bases loaded that plated the Maroons lone run. Levi Boersma pitched a hitless sixth inning. 

Offensively the Chix were led by Max Cochran and Aidan Fredricks who each had a hit. Noah Ledford scored the lone run. 

In game 2 Jake Meyering picked up the complete game win. Jake pitched 5 innings and scattered 9 hits while striking out 5 and walking none. He was helped out defensively by a highlight real catch and double play by Noah Ledford. 

Offensively the Chix were led by Max Cochran, Aidan Fredricks, and Noah Ledford who all picked up 2 hits. Gavin Brouwer, Ledford, and Jaiden Vantil each drove in runs.
