On Monday the Chix freshman baseball team traveled to Byron Center to take on the Bulldogs in a doubleheader. 

In game one the Chix were able to hand the Bulldogs only their second loss on the season. Gabe Vera pitched a complete game gem scattering 7 hits while walking 0 batters. The Chix defense didn't commit an error in the game. 

Collecting hits for the Chix were Noah Ledford, Aidan Fredricks, Gavin Brouwer, and Andrew Hansen. Jake Meyering, Fredricks, and Hansen all score runs for the Chix, while Brouwer and Ledford had RBI's. 

In game 2 Levi Boersma, Dylan Kenyon, and Aidan Fredricks pitched for the Chix. They all pitched well but caught a few tough breaks and the Chix were defeated 10-1. 

The Chix bats were pretty quiet in game 2 but highlights included a single and run scored for Dylan Kenyon and an RBI double that was crushed to left field by Conner Schipper.
