It was a beautiful day to kick off the 2018 soccer season. G Hunderman started off the scoring for the Chix five minutes into the game with a goal off a corner kick, assisted nicely from Kaiya Antrup. Kennedy Boone-Sautter then found the back of the net three straight times to make the score 4-0. Kennedy's goals were assisted by Grace Miller, Lia Maggini and Kaiya Antrup. Lia Maggini closed out the scoring in the first half with a nice assist from Grace Miller. Scoring in the second half started back up with an unassisted goal from Lia Maggini. As the second half continued, Haley Diekevers put the ball in the back of the net with a calm, composed, unassisted finish. Kennedy Boone-Sautter finished up the scoring for the Chix with a solid cross from Kristina Bolman. Overall, the Chix played well as a unit and were supported all night long with solid play from the back line and GK, Hope Steenwyk.
