Zeeland East kicked off their season Wednesday night with a 2-0 win vs. visiting Fruitport. Junior GK Lizz Bays made a great save within the first minute of the game, but took an unfortunate knee to the nose in the process. A fractured nose kept her out the remainder of the game. Ashley Geddes (Jr) stepped up huge in net for the Chix, posting the first shutout of the year. Overall, it was a great win for the Chix with several players stepping up in all parts of the field.
