Zeeland East Grabs Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over Holland

The Chix took the lead late and defeated Holland 4-2 on Tuesday in the first game of the Double Header. Zeeland East was down 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Taylor Hinson tripled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.
Anna Jipping (pictured) got the win for Zeeland East. She surrendered two runs on seven hits over seven innings, striking out three and walking one.
Ashton Maloney took the loss for Holland. She allowed five hits and four runs over six innings, striking out seven.
Katelyn Harmsen led Zeeland East with three hits in four at bats. Zeeland East was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error.
