The Chix seized victory in dramatic fashion Thursday night at Zeeland.  Going into the bottom of the 7^th inning the Chix were down 2-4.  Megan Greene started the rally with a single to right, with Kate Vandenbrink reaching first on a hard shot that the Hopkins 3^rd baseman couldn’t handle.  With two runners on, Taylor Hinson (pictured on left) on a 0-2 count, hits a line shot to the left center gap for a double, scoring two RBIs.  Now with the game tied at four Katelyn Harmsen hits into a 6-3 out, advancing Hinson to 3^rd.   With two outs, Riley Comden hits a swinging bunt and is safe on a throwing error and Hinson scores to win the game.

   Anna Jipping (pictured on right) led the Chix to victory in the pitcher's circle. She allowed 4 hits and 4 runs over six innings, striking out 12 and no walks. Megan Greene threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Greene recorded the last three outs to earn the save for the Chix.

Taylor Hinson led Zeeland East with two hits in three at bats.
