Zeeland East watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 8-1 loss to Reeths-Puffer on Monday in Game 1 of Doubleheader. The Chix struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Reeths-Puffer, giving up eight runs.
Megan Greene took the loss for Zeeland East. She lasted six innings, allowing ten hits and eight runs while striking out one.
Riley Comden and Jordyn DeNeff all had one hit to lead Zeeland East.
