Zeeland East had no trouble on offense today, winning big over Hamilton 11-1
Zeeland East opened up scoring in the first inning, when Riley Comden drew a walk, scoring one run.
Zeeland East tallied four runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught by Zeeland East was led by Anna Jipping and Sydni Gebben, who both drove in runs.
Megan Greene (pictured) pitched the Chix to victory. She lasted six innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out three and walking one.
R Wieling took the loss for Hamilton. She lasted three innings, allowing five hits and five runs.
The Chix scattered nine hits in the game. Kirsten Piatek and Jipping each managed multiple hits for Zeeland East. Piatek led Zeeland East with three hits in four at bats.
J Vanslooten went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Hamilton in hits.
