In the first game of a four team tournament at West Ottawa, Zeeland faced off against Edwardsburg. The Chix watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 17-7 loss in the opening game.
Anna Jipping toed the rubber for Zeeland East . She lasted six innings, allowing 20 hits and 17 runs while striking out three and walking one.
Leonard led Zeeland East with two hits in four at bats.
