Leonard's Walk-Off Seals the Deal In Zeeland East Victory Over Northview
Zeeland East defeated Northview 4-3 on Friday thanks to a walk-off walk. The game was tied at three with Zeeland East batting in the bottom of the ninth when Sydni Leonard drew a walk, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, Zeeland East tied things up at three. A sacrifice bunt by Leonard scored one run for the Chix.
Anna Jipping earned the victory on the rubber for Zeeland East. She allowed seven hits and three runs over nine innings, striking out nine and walking one.
Zeeland East had nine hits in the game. Addy Silguero, Riley Comden, and Romelia Elizardo all had multiple hits for Zeeland East.
