Zeeland East Blows Out East Grand Rapids Thanks To Big Third Inning

The Chix defeated East Grand Rapids 17-1 on Friday thanks to nine runs in the third inning. Riley Gruppen, Katie Carlson, Jaiden Lee, Ella Compagner, and Braxton Howey all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Carlson was credited with the victory for the Chix. Carlson pitched two innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out six and walking one. Madalyn Hickey threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

The Chix racked up a total of 13 hits in the game.
