UNION HIGH SCHOOL: 0
The Chix defeated Grand Rapids Union 18-0 on Tuesday in Game 1 of conference DH. Ali Holman, who went 3-for-3 at the plate with 3 in the park homeruns two of them in the 2nd inning. The Chix busted the game open with 15 runs in the second inning. Holman, Maddy Chatman, Katie Carlson, Braxton Howey, Madalyn Hickey, and Jaiden Lee each had RBIs in the frame. Katie Carlson was the winning pitcher for Zeeland East. She went two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out five and walking zero. Hickey threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. The Chix tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Braxton Howey led the way with four stolen bases.
