Zeeland East fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 16-6 loss to Otsego on Thursday in game 1 of DH. The Chix did collect seven hits in the high-scoring affair.
Katie Carlson was on the mound for Zeeland East. She lasted six innings, allowing 14 hits and 16 runs while striking out five.
The Chix totaled seven hits. Maddie Chatman and Ali Holman each collected two hits to lead the team.
