Tuesday's second game of a conference DH against Wyoming was a heartbreaker for the Chix, as they lost the lead late in a 10-5 defeat. The game was tied at two with Wyoming batting in the top of the fourth when J Rawls hit a solo homer. Wyoming opened up scoring in the first inning. Wyoming scored one run when K Stowe singled. The Chix evened things up at two in the bottom of the third inning when Maddy Chatman singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. Wyoming pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning. The Chix put up three runs in the fifth inning. The Chix offense in the inning came from doubles by Katie Carlson and Madalyn Hickey. Wyoming scored seven runs in the fifth inning. Wyoming big bats were led by M Marzean, J Pena, M Bruno, and M Menard, who each had RBIs in the inning. Stowe was the winning pitcher for Wyoming. The bulldog surrendered five runs on six hits over six innings, striking out eight. Carlson took the loss for the Chix. The bulldog went four innings, allowing six runs on seven hits, striking out seven and walking zero.
