The second game of the evening was a different story. The Chix took an early lead over Reeths-Puffer which set the stage for victory 7-3.
Carlson took the win for the Chix. The fireballer went two and a third innings, allowing three runs on four hits and striking out one. Riley Gruppen threw four and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
The Chix collected seven hits in the game. Carlson, Chatman, and Audrey Dreyer each had multiple hits. The Chix defense was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error.
