Zeeland East Chix Varsity defeated Whitehall 16-1. The Chix launched two home runs on the day. Carlson went yard in the second inning. Meyering had a long ball in the second inning. Zeeland East racked up 17 hits on the day. Buikema, Carlson, Meyering, Jaiden Lee, Megan Kuzma, Valenzuela, and Ella Hathaway all collected multiple hits for the Chix. Carlson and Buikema all had three hits to lead Zeeland East.
Zeeland East Chix Varsity fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 9-0 loss to Wayland.
Zeeland East defeated Allendale 7-6 on Saturday thanks to a walk-off. The Chix launched one home run on the day. Kuzma had a dinger in the sixth inning.Zeeland East tallied 12 hits on the day. Lorelei Buikema, Kuzma, Hathaway, and Carlson each racked up multiple hits for Zeeland East. Buikema went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Chix in hits.
