The Zeeland Girls Lacrosse team put up an amazing fight against a Tier 2 team!

At half time Zeeland (a Tier 3 team) was up 5-3, but unfortunately West Ottawa made a come back.

We may have lost but every single girl played an amazing game and we are ecstatic with the final score. This team has beat us by 10+ goals the past 2 years but now we're head to head!

Scorers:

Avery Schenk scored 3 goals

Haylee Boersen scored 2 goals

MaKennah Blackman scored 1 goal

Defense:

Defense played an incredible game! Every single one of them! They never gave up, and never backed down. They did an incredible job of keeping it tight in between the 8 and the 12 and their communication was on point this game. They did an excellent job of knowing when to more forward and put pressure on the girl with ball, or just be patient and wait for the girl with ball come to us. 

Goalie:

Senior, Sydney Ritsema was a brick wall tonight. She saved 58% of shots on goal, and did amazing clearing the ball out after every save! We can't believe this is only her 2nd year playing!
