The boys and girls cross country teams kicked off their season at the Eagle Invitational. Emily Macina led the lady Chix finishing 9th overall (20:23.7) followed by Savi Norinh (22:09.3 - 43rd), Kate DeLeeuw (22:32.5 - 51st), Teeah DeBoer (22:34.7 - 52nd), Emalee Postma (22:36.3 - 55th), Molly Macina (23:02.4 - 65th), and Elise Meister (23:09.0 - 67th). The lady Chix finished 8th as a team. Caden Meyer led the gentlemen Chix finishing 6th overall (17:03.9) followed by Ben Everse (17:54.7 - 27th), Max Jakubowski (18:23.3 - 40th), Mason Villarreal (18:23.5 - 41st), Aaron Baumann (18:27.5 - 44th), Ashton Brennan (18:43.8 - 51st), and Nick Riemersma (18:55.0 - 57th). The gentlemen Chix finished 7th as a team.
