The girl track and field team took home the OK Green Conference Championship Thursday evening, scoring a total of 268 points. Event conference champions for the Chix were Paige Westra (200m, Shot Put), Emily Macina (800m), Allison Kuzma (3200m), Anna Sluiter (300m Hurdles), 4x100m relay (Ily Watson, Katie Klein, Payton Heer, Lauren Anderson), 4x200m relay (Ily Watson, Sadie Huizenga, Gwen Russell, Anna Sluiter), Shelby Ulven (Discus), and Rylee Sluiter (Pole Vault). In addition to those event winners, additional All-Conference honors were earned by Greta Robrahn, Merideth DeVries, and Kaleigh Vandewege. New school records were set in the 100m (Ily Watson - 12.58) and 200m (Paige Westra - 26.43).

The boys team finished 2nd at the meet with a total score of 160.5. Event winners were Caden Meyer (1600m, 3200m), 4x800m relay (Sam Kikstra, Gavin Wiersma, Caden Meyer, Nick Riemersma), Aidan Taylor (Shot Put, Discus), and Trip Riemersma (High Jump). Additional All-Conference qualifiers were Tag Bonnema and Charlie Drnek.

Both teams will be back in action next Friday at Grand Haven High School for the Regional Championships.
