Zeeland East Wrestling traveled to Ionia today for the Mike Adamson Invitational. East Wrestling had seven placer winners with two (2) Champions and finished 3rd overall as a team. Eric Segocia-Estupinan placed 3rd at 106 going 3-1 on the day. Tyler Voravongsa placed 4th at 113 with a record of 2-2. Logan Klunder placed 3rd at 132 with a 4-1 record. Gabe Amid finished in 3rd at 175 with a record of 4-1. Devin Steggerda placed 3rd at 190 with a record of 4-1.
Champions for East were Gavin Drenten at 126 and Parker Williams at 285. Gavin and Parker both pinned all five (5) competitors on their way through the Championships. Gavin currently has a record of 16-0 with Parker right behind him at 15-1 as we near the half season.
East is back on the mats on Wednesday, January 4 for a home quad versus Allendale and Grand Rapids Union.
