Zeeland East Wrestling qualified four (4) for the Individual State Finals next weekend at Van Andel Arena. Carter Hinson was Regional Champion at 140. Carter also broke the Zeeland East Career win records of 158 wins with his victories today. Also placing and advancing for East were Noah Ledford in 2nd at 140, Marty Landes in 4th at 135, and Andrew DeVries in 4th at 285.

Zeeland East Wrestling advanced five (5) wrestlers to Regionals today. Carter Hinson (140) was District Champion at 140 with Noah Ledford also at 140 in second. Marty Landes (135) placed 3rd. Andrew DeVries (285) placed 3rd and Riley Tietema (285) placed 4th. Congratulations. Regional take place next week at Byron Center in their continued march toward the Individual State Finals.

Zeelend East Wrestling lost a close dual to Holland last night at Team Districts 40-42. Winning on the night were Dylan Osborn (119), Marty Landes (135), Carter Hinson (140), Justin Soukhome (145), Noah Ledford (152), Trenton Klunder (171), Andrew DeVries (285).
The wrestling team is back on the mat Saturday at Allendale to start their individual post-season run.

Zeeland East Wrestling finished up the regular season last night beating Tri County 45-30 and Mason County Central 70-18 yet falling to Allendale 21-59. Undefeated on the night for the varsity sqaud were Marty Landes (135), Carter Hinson (140), Noah Ledford (145), and Andrew DeVries (285). Atari Kuras also went undefeated in JV matches.
Zeeland East will host Team Districts next Wednesday.
ZE Wrestling at Edwardsburg

Zeeland East Wrestling traveled to Edwardsburg this morning beating Hopkins 60-23, Ravenna 58-24, and falling to host Edwardsburg 36-44. Undefeated on the day were Marty Landes (135), Carter Hinson (140), and Nick Wichers (160).
Carter Hinson, with his wins today eclipsed 150 career wins. Congratulations Carter.
East wrestling returns to the mats at Hastings on Wednesday.

Zeeland East Wrestling took the mat this evening versus Traverse City Central and Greenville tonight. East lost to Traverse City Central 30-34 and then lost to Greenville 27-48. Undefeated on the night were Marty Landes (135), Carter Hinson (140), and Noah Ledford (145). Zeeland East wrestles again on Saturday at South Haven.

After an unanticipated delay in the season the ZE Wrestling team returned to the mats yesterday at Portage Northern. ZE opened the night defeating host Portage Northern 48-30. ZE then fell to state ranked Thornapple Kellogg (Middleville) 17-54 before finishing the night beating Coldwater 48-30. Undefeated on the night were Marty Landes (135), Carter Hinson (140), Noah Ledford (145), and Trenton Klunder (171). Tommy Le (103) and Dominik Makety (130), both new to the sport, earned their first career wins in exciting matches versus Portage Northern. Zeeland East is back on the mat on Wednesday to face Greenville and Traverse City Central at Greenville.

Zeeland East Wrestling was finally back on the mats this morning at Kelloggsville. Zeeland East opened the season with a close loss to Hanover-Horton 32-39. Zeeland East then defeated host Kelloggsville 47-18 and finished the morning defeating Grant 60-24. Going 3-0 on the day for East were Noah Ledford (140/145), Carter Hinson (145/152), Trenton Klunder (171), and Andrew DeVries (285).
