Regional Tournament - Someone is going to State!

The Chix played in the Regional at Yankee Springs today hosted by Thornapple Kellogg. Three players on the team were able to improve on their previous scores at the course and all the girls did their best and had a great finish to their season.
Junior Carly Lukins' season is not over however. She has qualified for the State Tournament with an exciting finish! Carly shot an 82 and was tied with two other players for the last two spots to go to State. Two playoff holes were necessary to decide who was moving on and Carly did it! She is now preparing to play in the State Tournament on October 14th and 15th at Forest Akers West Golf Course in East Lansing. Good luck at State Carly!

Wooden Shoe Tournament

The annual Wooden Shoe Tournament was played today at the Wuskawhon Players Club and it turned out to be a nice afternoon for golf. The course, as always, was in excellent condition, a big thank you Wuskawhon for the opportunity to play your wonderful course!
The Chix placed 4th today led by Carly Lukins with a second place finish with a score of 41. Also scoring for the Chix were Katherine Rogovich, Taya Schanski and Kendyll Samora.
Next up for the team is the Regional at Yankee Springs on Tuesday, Oct. 4th with a 10 AM start time. Good luck girls!
OK Green Conference Tournament

The Chix teed off this morning at 9:00 am for the 18 hole event at Pigeon Creek and the team placed fourth in the event and fourth in the Conference. The team was led by Carly Lukins who shot a 2nd place score of 75. Also scoring for the Chix were Taya Schanski, Katherine Rogovich and Madolynne Bos. The team has continued to improve over the season and their scores reflected that today with some personal best scores.
Congratulations to Carly Lukins who was named to the All-Conference Team and she tied Zeeland West's Rylee Smith for low average in the conference with a 38.17.
Best of luck to the Chix who will play in the Wooden Shoe Tournament at Wuskawhon Players Club.
Jamboree st Mona Shores

The Chix traveled to Muskegon Country Club to play the front nine in the final 9 hole Conference Jamboree of the season. The team finished 4th led by medalist Carly Lukins with a fine score of 41 in very windy conditions. Also scoring for the team was Katherine Rogovich who had a personal best score, Kendall Samora and Madolynne Bos.
The team will play in the Conference Tournament on Wednesday at Pigeon Creek.
Home vs Hamiton

The Chix hosted the Hawkeyes last night at Winding Creek, playing the White nine course. The team came up a little short and Hamilton scored the win by a score of 216-232. Leading the way for the Chix and medalist for the match was Carly Lukins who had three birdies, one double bogey, one bogey, and 3 pars for an even par round of 36. Great scoring Carly! Also scoring for the Chix were Madolynne Bos, Kendyll Samora and Taya Schansnki.
Wednesday the Chix travel to Clearbrook for another Conference Jamboree.

The Chix played at Crestview Golf Course tonight on the front nine. The team had their best team score of the year with a 215, placing them in third. Carly Lukins shot another round under par with a score 35 taking the medalist honors. She had two birdies and one bogey, great score Carly, keep it up! Also scoring for the Chix were Madolynne Bos and Taya Schanski with 59's and Katherine Rogovitch with a 60. The young team continues to show improvement each week!

The Chix played the 18 hole event at Yankee Springs Golf Course, the team had a total of 457. Congratulations to Junior Carly Lukins who shot a 3 over par score of 75 to take 2nd place out of 126 golfers! Great round Carly! Also scoring for the Chix today were Sophomore Madolynne Bos with a 124, Sophomore Kendyll Samora also with a 124 and Freshmen Taya Schanski with a 134. The Sophomores and Freshmen are gaining invaluable experience and making improvements in their games each week. Three of these young ladies starting playing golf on August 8th! Keep up the work ladies!
Conference Jamboree

The first Jamboree of the season was hosted by Reeths Puffer at Lincoln Golf Course north of Muskegon. The Chix were led by Junior Carly Lukins who was the medalist with a one under par score. She started her round hot with three birdies and cruised to a 35. Also scoring for the Chix were Sophomore Madolynne Bos with a 53, Freshmen Katherine Rogovich with a 60 and Freshmen Taya Schanski with a 62. The team score of 210 placed the Chix in third. Great start to the Conference season!
Friday the Chix will be playing in the Thornapple Kellogg Invitational at Yankee Springs.
Zeeland East Invitational

The Chix hosted the 18 hole event at Pigeon Creek Golf Course. The team improved their overall team score from their Monday Invite by 46 strokes. Leading the team with a third place finish overall was Carly Lukins with a score of 83. Also scoring for the Chix were Freshmen Taya Schanski with a 121 and !33's from Madolynne Bos and Sophia Rodriguez.
The team will start league play on Wednesday at the Reeths Puffer Jamboree at Lincoln Golf Course.
