WEST OTTAWA HIGH SCHOOL: 52
The Chix picked up a 59-52 win at West Ottawa to improve to 3-0 on the season. The team jumped out to a 31-24 lead at halftime before West Ottawa stormed back to take a two point lead in the fourth quarter. Some timely baskets and clutch free throw shooting helped to seal the win.
Emily Wierenga scored 18 points and added 10 rebounds, while Mirra Fenlon scored 18 points as well. Lizzie Risdon scored 17, including 14 points that came in the second half. Emme Meyering had a team-high 5 assists and grabbed 6 rebounds as well.
The Chix head to Jenison on Friday night as they look to improve to 4-0.
