Hudsonville, Mich - The #4 ranked Zeeland Water Polo team traveled down Chicago Drive to take on the #1 ranked Hudsonville Eagles and fell 14-5.  Jenna Schrotenboer scored 3 goals including her final one at the final buzzer on a sweet pass from goalie Morgan Beers.  Peyton Elenbaas and Claire Meeuwsen were the other 2 scorers.  Madi Duquette played a stellar game on the defensive side with 3 steals and Peyton Elenbaas added 2 field blocks to her goal.  Morgan Beers made 16 saves in the cage.

"We were forced to play a few people out of position tonight and everyone really stepped up their level of play.  I drew up a few new defenses that we haven't really practiced this year and the team reacted very well.  It was great to see Peyton (Elenbaas) and Claire (Meeuwsen) show up on the offensive side of the ball and I was really impressed with Madi (Duquette) and Sarah (Houtman) on the way they helped to lead the team defensively." -Coach Dave Vruggink

It doesn't get any easier for the Chix/Dux as they play #6 West Ottawa at home on Thursday night.  Zeeland is also co-hosting a tournament with Hudsonville on Friday and Saturday
