The two wins puts Zeeland East's record at 30-6 on the season. This is the first time in school histrory that a team has ever won 30 plus games in back to back seasons. They have also accomplished more than 30 wins in 3 of the previous 4 seasons, and 4 times in school history.
The Zeeland East varsity baseball team capped off their OK Green conference season on Wednesday, completing the 3-game sweep of Mona Shores. Game 2 was suspended for lightning on Monday and was resumed in the 3rd inning on Wednesday. The Chix jumped out early and never looked back, defeating Mona Shores by a score of 10-2.
Gavin Drooger went the distance, pitching a complete game. Drooger gave up 2 runs in 7 innings, allowing 7 hits while striking out 4.
Offensively, Austin Keur, Quincy Thome and JJ Salas each had multiple hits in the game. Chris Seay launched a huge 3-run home run in the 5th inning to put the game out of reach.
In game 3, the Chix continued their offensive attack, putting 11 runs on the board in the first inning, started by a lead off solo home run by Austin Keur. Charlie Lacny added 3 hits in the game and Joe Hilbink added a double. The Chix won by a score of 12-0 in 5 innings.
Max Salas tallied another win on the mound for Zeeland East with a complete game shut out. Salas went 5 innings allowing 3 hits and struck out 6 batters in the game.
Zeeland East finishes the OK-Green conference season as the outright champions with a 20-1 overall record. The Chix have won the league title in back to back years with a combined record of 41-1 and have won 3 conference championships in the previous 4 years.
The Chix are currently 28-6 on the season and travel to Davenport University on Friday to play a double-header with East Kentwood.
Zeeland East traveled to Mona Shores on Monday to begin their final OK Green series of the regular season. The Chix rode the arm of Trevor Raade who pitched a complete game no-hitter to win by a score of 2-0.
Raade went 7 innings, allowed no runs on no hits while striking out 10 and walking just one batter. Offensively, Aidan Coutts had two hits in the game, including an RBI single in the 5th inning. Austin Keur broke the game open with an RBI double, also in the 5th inning. Chris Seay and Brenston Brown each added singles and each scored a run.
The second game of the double-header was suspended in the 3rd inning due to lightning. The Chix are currently winning 3-1 and will be resumed on Wednesday.
Zeeland East improves to 26-6 on the season and 18-1 in the OK Green.
Zeeland East traveled to West Ottawa on Saturday for their annual alumni tournament. Zeeland East was matched up against Spring Lake in game 1, while West Ottawa battled Grand Rapids Northview.
After jumping out to an early 4-3 lead, Zeeland East couldn't hold Spring Lake down and lost by a score of 8-5. Austin Keur scored 2 runs in the game while Charlie Lacny added an RBI single.

Offensively, Zeeland East tallied 11 hits in the game. Charlie Lacny, Aidan Coutts and Joe Hilbink each had multiple hits in the game. Lacny had a solo home run while while Coutts and Hilbink each added doubles.
Zeeland East moves their record to 25-6 on the season and travels to Mona Shores on Monday for their final OK-Green series.
Zeeland East traveled to Muskegon Reeths-Puffer on Thursday to finish game 2 and play game 3 of the OK Green series. Zeeland East won the continued game by a score of 5-2 and the final game 3 by a score of 8-2. The win clinched the second straight league championship for the Chix!
Game 2
The suspended game was tied 2-2 after five innings. The Chix were able to shut the rockets down in the top of the 6th and then score 3 on a bases clearing double by Koby Windeler in the bottom half. After three more outs the Chix were victorious winning 5-2. Max Salas pitched the final two innings of the suspended game, earning the win in relief, allowing only 1 hit and striking out 3.
Game 3
Zeeland East came out firing in the final game of the series, tallying 12 hits, 4 for extra bases. Aidan Coutts led the charge at the plate going 4 for 4 with two doubles and a triple, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Quincy Thome added two hits, including a double and 3 runs scored. JJ salas also had two singles and two runs scored.
Max Salas started the game after finishing the previous and fired 5 innings allowing no earned runs on 3 hits while striking out 7. Evan Owens hurled the final two innings, allowing 1 hit and striking out 2.
The two wins improve Zeeland East to 24-5 on the season and 17-1 in the OK-Green. The Chix will travel to West Ottawa for their invitational on Saturday, playing Spring Lake at 11am.
Zeeland East hosted Reeths-Puffer for an OK-Green conference double-header on Tuesday. Visiting Reeths-Puffer was victorious defeating the Chix by a score of 1-0 in 9 innings. This was the first conference loss for Zeeland East in two years.
Trevor Raade pitched a gem for the Chix, hurling 5 innings in the no decision. Raade surrendered no runs on two hits while striking out 9. Evan Owens pitched a perfect 6th and 7th innings while Koby Windeler got out of a jam in the 8th. But the top of the 9th innings the rockets led off with a double and manufactured a run to take the lead. Koby Windeler takes the loss in relief.
Offensively, Zeeland East was led by Trevor Raade and Quincy Thome who each had two hits in the game. The Chix loaded the bases in the bottom of the 9th inning with one out, but couldn't get the tying run to score.
Game 2 was not finished due to darkness. The game is currently tied 2-2 in the top of the 6th inning. The final two innings of game 2 and game 3 will be played on Thursday at Reeths-Puffer.
Zeeland East completed the 3-game OK Green sweep of Holland on Thursday, winning by a score of 8-0. Evan Owens pitched a gem for the Chix with a complete game 1-hit shutout. Owens went all 7 innings, allowing no runs on one hit and one walk while striking out 11.
Offensively, Zeeland East broke the game open in the 4th inning with a huge 2-RBI double by Chris Seay, followed by a 2 RBI single by Aidan Coutts. Charlie Lacny had a pair of hits in the game while Seay and Brenston Brown both hit doubles. Quincy Thome added two runs scored and one hit while Austin Keur had an RBI single as well.
Zeeland East improves to 22-2 on the season and a perfect 15-0 in the OK-Green. The Chix will travel to the east side of the state for the Cold Weather Bats tournament on Friday and Saturday where they will match up with state powers Trenton, Woodhaven and Wyandotte.
Zeeland East traveled to Holland on Wednesday for an OK Green conference double-header (rescheduled from Tuesday). The Chix were victorious in both games, winning by scores of 13-1 and 5-2.

Zeeland East won their home invitational on Saturday, defeating Hastings by a score of 11-0 and defeating Lakewood in the finals by a score os 7-2.

Max Mulder pitched a 3-inning perfect game, striking out 8 batters. Mulder also helped the team offensively with his first career varsity hom erun.
Offensively, Quincy Thome and Charlie Lacny each added a pair of hits. Thome broke the game open with a grand slam in the first inning. Gavin Drooger and Joe Hilbink each scored 3 runs in the game.

Zeeland East traveled to Hudsonville on Wednesday for a non-conference double header. The Chix and Eagles battled it out for two great baseball games. The score of game 1 was 1-0 with Hudsonville coming out victorious and Zeeland East winning game two by a score of 4-2.
In game 1 Max Salas pitched a gem for the Chix. Salas went 6 innings allowing no runs on 2 hits while striking out 8. Gavin Drooger records the tough loss on the mound in relief. Hudsonville walked the game off on a sac fly in the bottom of the 7th after a single, bunt and error.
Offensively, Austin Keur led the way with 2 hits in the game.
In game 2, Trevor Raade picked up the win on the mound for Zeeland East. Raade threw 5 innings allowing 2 runs (1 earned) on 4 hits while striking out 4. Gavin Drooger picked up the two inning save, allowing no runs on 3 hits and striking out 2.

Trevor Raade recorded the win for Zeeland East. Raade went 6 innings allowing 1 earned run on only 2 hits, while striking out 9.
Offensively, Noah DeWitt and Max Salas each had a pair of hits. DeWitt had two doubles, while Joe Hilbink and Max Salas each added a double as well. Brenston Brown had a big 2 out, 2-RBI single to extend the Chix lead to 7 in the 4th inning.

Zeeland East varsity baseball hosted rival Zeeland West on Tuesday afternoon for an OK Green Conference double-header. The Chix won both games by scores of 15-0 (3 innings) and 13-6. Zeeland East had 30 hits in the two games.
In game one, Max Salas pitched the complete game (3 innings) recording his record 18th career varsity win. This sets the school record for most wins all-time. In three innings he struck out 5 batters, allowing no runs on one hit.
Offensively, Zeeland East tallied 11 hits in the three innings. Austin Keur, Trevor Raade, Quincy Thome and Brenston Brown all had two hits in the game. Charlie Lacny drew 3 walks and Max Salas scored 3 runs. Raade added a double and Quincy Thome had a triple.
In game two, the Chix tallied 19 hits in the victory. Noah DeWitt led the way with 4 hits and 3 runs scored. Aidan Coutts added 3 hits and 3 RBI, including a triple. Chris Seay had a monster day with a triple, home run and 4 runs scored after being intentionally walked twice. Koby Windeler added two doubles and multiple RBI in the game as well.

Zeeland East traveled to Whitehall on Saturday for tri-tournament with Whitehall and Bay City John Glenn. Zeeland East won both games, defeating Whitehall by a score of 8-1 and John Glenn by a score of 9-2.
In game one (ZE 8, Whitehall 1) Max Mulder recorded his first career varsity win, pitching 4 innings and allowing 1 unearned run on 2 hits while striking out 3. Gavin Drooger and Aidan Coutts finished off the game allowing zero runs and 3 hits.

Max Salas pitched a complete game, 1 hit, shutout. Salas gave up one seeing eye single in the first inning and that was the only base runner to reach. Salas finished the day with 13 k's and no walks in 6 innings of work.

Zeeland East varsity baseball team hosted Grandville for a non-conference double-header on Saturday. The Chix and Bulldogs were originally scheduled to play at a Portage Northern invite, however, due to field conditions it was canceled.
In the first game of the double-header the Chix came out victorious winning 11-1 in 6 innings. Max Salas threw 5 innings and records the win on the mound. Salas allowed 1 run (unearned) on 1 hit while striking out 11. Koby Windeler struck out 1 in relief to finish the game.
Offensively, the Chix were led by Quincy Thome who was 3-3 with a single, double, triple, 3 runs scored and an RBI. Austin Keur had 1 hit, 3 RBI and two runs scored in the game, while Aidan Coutts also scored two runs and a hit.
In game 2 Grandville rallied late to win 10-8 over the Chix. Zeeland East jumped out to a quick 6-2 lead and held it for the majority of the game until Grandville added 6 runs in the 6th inning. Zeeland East had bases loaded in both the 6th and 7th inning with a chance to tie or win the game, but couldn't scratch them across.
Trevor Raade started on the bump for the Chix. Raade threw 3 innings allowing 2 unearned runs and two hits while striking out 5 in the no decision. Evan Owens recorded the win on the mound for Zeeland East. Owens started the game and went 3 innings allowing 1 hit and no runs, while striking out 4. Eli Nienhuis pitched a perfect 4th inning with 2 strikeouts of his own, while Aidan Coutts pitched the 5th and struck out the side.
